“I realized that the average food delivery app primarily caters to connecting consumers who are on the go to brick and mortar restaurants and stores. Yet, lovers of street food often struggle to find that amazing food truck that they tried last week, in addition to its hours of operation. I set out to design an app that allows consumers the ability to find and discover local food truck businesses in their areas. The user can either search for an existing truck business that they know, or enter a current location into the maps screen. A map of nearby trucks, their names, and cuisines pops up and the user can select their pic. Items are added to cart, and once checked out the customer is given an estimate of order completion. This provides an opportunity for food truck businesses to connect and organize with their communities, opening pathways for new patrons and food centered events.”
